FORD BAXTER SAUNDERS
1947 – 2017

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ford Baxter Saunders announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on February 28, 2017 at the age of 70. Ford was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church and Honorary Member (Chief) of Springdale Fire Department. He retired from local and long distance truck driver after 40 years. Ford was predeceased by his daughter Velda and parents, Vivian & Wilbur Saunders. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife Hazel and sons-Jeffrey (Deanna) of Springdale and Baxter (Maryann) of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn are 5 Grandchildren-Timothy, Emily, Harley, Tye and River; 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Pastor Lindsey Foster will conduct the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church in Springdale on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roger Hewlett, Jared Saunders, Basil Saunders, Gordon Saunders, Freeman Reid and Henry Hewlett. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.
