Obituary for Teresa Frances Crawley (Wall)

Teresa Frances Crawley (Wall)
TERESA FRANCES CRAWLEY
1931 - 2018

With great sadness, the family of Teresa Frances Crawley (nee Wall) announces her passing on Thursday, May 31, at the age of 86, at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor. Teresa was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who cared about nothing as much as the well-being of those she loved. Her deep religious faith, her generosity toward everyone she encountered, and her enjoyment of a good joke all characterized her to those who knew and loved her. She was a model of unconditional love. In the 1950s, Teresa worked as a secretary at the Anglo-Newfoundland Development Company. After her marriage, she joined the staff of the Grand Falls Town Hall where she made friendships that lasted throughout her life. Teresa is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Cecilia Wall, and five of her six siblings. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 57 years, Kevin; her three daughters, Michelle (John Hatt), Glenda (Edward Byrne) and Colleen (Stephen Brown); her seven grandchildren, Carolyn (Allan Morgan), Emily and Stephen Hatt, Matthew and Anna Byrne, and Patrick and Daniel Brown. Also left to mourn is Teresa’s brother, Michael Wall (Louise) and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. All those who knew Teresa will miss her beautiful spirit. Special thanks to those who showed her kindness, including the staff of the Restorative Care program at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre who helped her overcome the challenges that came as a result of her stroke in 2013; Kim at The Natural Touch; the staff of Bride’s; all of her friends at Immaculate Conception Parish; the excellent nursing staff at CNRHC; and Dr. Ralph, for his years of care. Visitation will take place at Central Funeral Homes on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., with 8:00 p.m. rosary. A funeral mass will be celebrated at The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted by the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment of Central Funeral Homes.
